Cath Kerry - teacher, chef and restaurateur.
I'm interested in the history of food, in the why, the how and the what we eat.
I have a weakness for antique and vintage tableware.
This is about food and friends, and how their interaction makes both more meaningful. We should treat the table with respect (and yes, manners and holding your knife and fork in a certain way, or your chopsticks, are important).
Real food is one of the last affordable, safe pleasures and trapping friends around a table to eat, to share conversation and laughter is an essential element of a civilised society.
Food is not good for you or bad for you. There is only good food and bad food.
Here, we can rant about fad diets, low-fat milk, astrology and kids' menus.
There might be the odd recipe, but how many more do we need?
I hope also for some interesting dialogue and feed-back.
