I think Inglewood are the only certified organic chicken producer at present. The difference is in the processing. Organic chicken processing is treated with the minimum required amount of chlorine and then air dried in cool rooms (taking 6 hours or so) vs. 3 minutes in a chlorinated ice-bath (up to 9% of the body weight can be water!) to allow portioning to occur immediately. Inglewood chook is worth the price as an occasional treat.
